Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)

The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) was established by the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) in cooperation with the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) in 1988.
The IPCC summarises results of research in the research in the risks of climate change and to assess mitigation strategies.
The Fourth Assessment Report, AR4, was published in February 2007 and it compiles the current knowledge concerning climate change.
